Automated Testing

Penn recommends that all site owners utilize Pope Tech to allow for scheduled, automated testing. To get access to Pope Tech or to add your site, please visit the Support Center.

By using Pope Tech, your site's pages will be automatically scanned for accessibility issues. This service will also allow you to track your accessibility compliance over time. For help using Pope Tech, you can visit their support blog or request a tutorial by ISC staff through the Support Center.

Other automatic testing resources

It is also recommended that staff use the free WAVE browser extension to check for accessibility issues during active development or whenever significant changes to a page have been made.

Microsoft Accessibility Insights will also guide you through completing a more robust accessibility assessment of your site or application.

For sites running Drupal, the CKEditor Accessibility Checker is a plugin for your WYSIWYG that will scan your content prior to posting.
